Contractor stops project work following jurisdictional disputes
THE beautification project for the Pallamvetty saddle dam in the Kallada Parappar (Thenmala) Dam reservoir has been abandoned, leaving the area neglected. The initiative to clean and develop the surroundings into a garden was halted after the contractor stopped work following jurisdictional disputes. However, no steps have been taken to reassign the project or prepare a new plan. The soil prepared for planting ornamental plants on the dam pathway is now filled with wild vegetation.
