Curfew in five districts; internet banned for 5 days
Prohibitory orders were clamped in five districts in Manipur after protests erupted over the arrest of Meitei leaders. The administration also suspended internet and mobile data services, including VSAT and VPN facilities. The restrictions will remain for a period of five days in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Kakching districts.
