T'gana working on reducing gap between haves, have-nots'

TELANGANA Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday expressed his dissatisfaction over the manner per capita income is calculated and said his government is working towards reducing the gap between the haves and have-nots.
Speaking to Santwana Bhattacharya, Editor of The New Indian Express, during the day two of ThinkEdu Conclave, Vikramarka said the poorest of the poor's income and richest of the rich's income are put together to calculate per capita. With the widening gap between the two, this should not be the criteria to gauge a society, he said.
