People travelling to Mangaluru may be forced to pay toll twice, if plaza comes up at the site
PEOPLE from Kumbla and surrounding villages staged a massive protest on Monday in Arikady Kadavath area demanding the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to scrap the toll plaza proposed at the spot, calling it illegal. The traffic movement on the National Highway 66 was affected for more than two hours after the protesters blocked one side of the NH. Though there was a heavy police deployment in the area following the protest, people dispersed after staging the protest.
