ED Bid to Seize Herald Assets

The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday issued notices to acquire possession of immovable assets valued at ₹661 crore that were previously attached as part of a money laundering probe into Congress-linked National Herald newspaper and Associated Journals Limited (AJL).
The agency said it has submitted necessary documents to property registrars in locations where the assets are situated. At the same time, notices were also affixed on the concerned properties on Friday.
SWAMY'S COMPLAINT
The ED's investigation began in 2021 after a court in Patiala House in New Delhi took cognizance of a private complaint filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on June 26, 2014.
