Rules Tweaked to Protect Defence Personnel Rights

In a move to ensure speedy and fair legal recourse for defence personnel, the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has introduced an amendment to the Jammu and Kashmir General Rules (Civil) for the guidance of District and Subordinate Courts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to safeguard the legal rights of military personnel.
The court has also adopted special measures for prioritizing cases related to defence personnel and their dependents. The 13-page notification, issued by the Registrar General (Officiating), M K Sharma, was made under the powers granted by Article 227 of the Constitutio
