Indi Canal Fund: Cong Says BJP MP Taking Undue Credit

Accusing BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi of trying to take undue credit for the Centre granting funds for renovation of Indi Branch Canal, KPCC spokesperson S M Patil Ganihar said that before taking credit, Jigajinagi must know the contribution of three Congress MLAs in getting funds.

It may be noted that a couple of days ago, Jigajinagi had issued a press statement, stating that the Centre granted Rs 2,650 crore for the modernisation of the 64-kilometer-long canal network of the Indi Branch canal. "Jigajinagi has been blowing trumpets and taking credit for the funds as if it is only he who got the funds granted. The fact is since over a year, three Congress MLAs, Ashok Managuli of Singdi, Yeshwantraigouda Patil of Indi and Vithal Katakadonda of Nagathan have been jointly working to get funds for the modernisation of the canal network," he said.
