'Reassessment of report must to add new guidelines that are aligned with current HDI indicators'
The Karnataka government has been implementing Dr. D.M. Nanjundappa Committee Report since 2007-08 to address regional imbalances in the state. However, considering the evolving socio-economic conditions, a reassessment of the report is necessary to introduce new guidelines that are aligned with the current Human Development Index (HDI) indicators, stated Prof. M Govind Rao, chairman of the Karnataka Regional Imbalance Redressal Committee.
