Baldota assures environmental safety, job opportunities to locals amid protest

THE mega protest against the proposed steel plant in Koppal has completed one month.
While some organisations have been claiming that there will be pollution due to the upcoming steel plant, but the Baldota company in a recent press release stated that they have a clear environment monitoring plan and the air pollution will be mitigated using Electrostatic Precipitator (ESPs), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and other techniques.
Industries Minister M B Patil in a press conference on Saturday said that IISC Bengaluru will give a detailed scientific report on pollution and a decision will be taken as per the report. The minister also said that there is no politics in that and as a minister, he wants industries to come up in the region.
