Construction of new D-Wall to start on Jan 2, 2025 with an estimated ₹990 crore, says CM
DELAY in the execution of works for the Polavaram Irrigation project over the last five years has resulted in measurable losses to the tune of ₹10,000 crore to ₹15,000 crore, including additional cost of ₹2,400 crore for the construction of a new diaphragm wall and other elements, ₹3,000 crore for the power project, and ₹3,000 crore due to price escalation, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Monday.
If the probable gains from the project were calculated, losses would be immeasurable, he added.
