BALLARI Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rahul Sharanappa Sankanur said that the need of the hour for all officers, staff and the general public is to engage in safe, ethical and responsible use of internet.

He was speaking at the inauguration of a workshop on internet awareness at the Abdul Nazir Sab Auditorium, organised in association with the district administration, District Panchayat, National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Police Department (Cyber Cell) as part of ‘Safe Internet Day’ celebration.

Sankanur said that Safe Internet Day is observed annually to promote responsible and safe use of technology and the internet, while also raising awareness about online safety. The theme for this year is “Together for a Better Internet”.
