Curtains come down on 2 theatres that regaled audiences for 60 yrs

With closure, only two out of 7 theatres in Dharwad are now open

THE famous twin theatres Shrinivas and Padma, that have entertained the people of Dharwad by screening movies for six decades have finally shut down. They have stopped screening films for the last eight months.

The closure of these two theatres increases the number of theatres shut down in the city to five as three theatres have already been closed due to various reasons like lack of audience, lesser demand for single screen and maintenance, among others.
