Two Held for Staging 'Lizard-in-Food' Act to Ruin Hotel's Reputation

THE city police arrested two persons for allegedly tarnishing a restaurant's reputation by claiming that a dead lizard was found in food served to them.
An investigation by the RS Puram police into allegations of a dead lizard being found in food served at a restaurant in Coimbatore earlier in May revealed that it was an act aimed at tarnishing the restaurant's image.
Two of the five suspects, directly involved in the act, were arrested.
They were identified as Annadurai and Saravanan of Komarapalayam in Namakkal district.
