'Open' but closed: CCMC's ₹1.5-cr complex awaits VIP inauguration

Even five months after its formal inauguration, a commercial complex built at a cost of over ₹1.5 crore by the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) on Patel Road remains closed to the public.
The complex in Ward 67 comprises a total of seven shops - five small and two large units. It was inaugurated on February 20 in the presence of Minister for Municipal Administration KN Nehru.
Despite the official opening, none of the shops have been made operational so far.
