Move comes after UGC notified that institutions cannot offer any healthcare programmes
FOLLOWING the University Grants Commission's order, the Higher Education Department has stopped offering psychology courses in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online through its state-run universities, effective this academic year.
Recently, UGC notified that no Higher Education Institutions shall be permitted to offer any allied and healthcare programmes covered in the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Profession Act, 2021, including psychology, as a specialisation under ODL/online mode from the academic session starting July-August 2025 and onwards.
