Rope break behind the accident at Pavagadh Hill temple in Gujarat
SIX people were killed when a cargo ropeway, which was carrying construction materials, snapped mid-air at the sacred Pavagadh Shakti Peeth in Gujarat on Saturday.
Authorities have shut down the passenger ropeway for devotees due to strong winds as investigations into the cause of the collapse begin. According to sources, chaos erupted on the hill shrine at 3 pm when the wire of the goods ropeway suddenly broke. The victims included two lift operators, two workers, and two others who were on board.
