Board member accused of embezzling ration at Agasagi PKPS

IN what appears to be a deepening crisis at the Agasagi Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Society (PKPS), serious allegations have emerged against a board member, who is accused of misappropriating government-supplied ration rice and obstructing loan facilities for local farmers.

Elected in November, with promises to empower farmers and provide better services, the new PKPS management has failed to deliver. Within just five months, the system has collapsed multiple times. The current president reportedly resides outside the village, leaving the society in the hands of a controversial member with a history of financial irregularities.
