Farmers Stage Protest Against Land Acquisition for Solar Project in Nellore

TENSION prevailed in Kaderu village, Kandukuru constituency, on Sunday as thousands of farmers, led by Bharata Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) chief Bode Ramachandra Yadav, staged a 3-km march and blocked the national highway to oppose the government's move to acquire 8,300 acres of fertile land for the proposed Indosol solar power project near Ramayapatnam port.
Authorities deployed heavy police presence and sealed all roads to prevent the protest. However, BCY chief Ramachandra Yadav reached Kaderu by sea and led farmers to the protest site, bypassing police restrictions.
