With Trump win, India-US FTA talks may resume

DONALD Trump's re-election as the 47th US President has raised expectations for resumption of partnerships that were paused during President Joe Biden's term. One such partnership is the possibility of an India-US Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
"Trump's coming back to power could lead to India-US FTA negotiations, which will provide both sides with greater market access," former foreign secretary and ambassador to the US Harsh Vardhan Shringla told this newspaper.
