SC refuses to quash FIR against DKS

IN a major blow to Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, the Supreme Court on Monday rejected his petition challenging the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s first information report (FIR) against him in the disproportionate assets case.
The Congress leader had moved the court after the Karnataka High Court declined his plea to quash the CBI case.
Rejecting Shivakumar's petition, a bench of justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma said it agreed with the high court order.
