WITH chants of "Modi, Modi" rising from the Treasury benches, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta rose to present her maiden Budget in the Assembly on Tuesday.
From the very opening of her 138-minute speech, Gupta had her sights trained on the previous government, leaving no stone unturned to sneer at the performance of the AAP dispensation.
In the course of her Budget speech, the Chief Minister, who also holds the finance portfolio, took multiple jibes at the AAP government for their "broken promises", saying the past dispensation relied more on advertisements and publicity than groundwork.
