NE, Haryana Link in Gujarat Arms Licence Racket

In a major crackdown, the Gujarat ATS has busted a racket involving bogus arms licenses issued to people from Gujarat using fake addresses from Nagaland and Manipur.
The ATS seized over 21 firearms and 624 live cartridges, unearthing the network. Individuals from Haryana are behind the counterfeit license scam linked to the Northeast. The ATS has booked 108 people and arrested 23, while a search is underway for the rest.
Initially, the ATS arrested seven accused, supposed to be the kingpins, with six illegal weapons and 135 live cartridges. They used to flaunt the weapons at religious functions and weddings, strapping the weapons to their waists, operating as walking advertisements.
