IOB reports all-time high profit of ₹1,226 crore, asset quality improves

PUBLIC sector Indian Overseas Bank reported a 58% rise in net profit to ₹1226 crore in Q2 FY26 compared to ₹777 crore in the same period last year, recording its all-time highest profit.
It is mainlydriven by higher net interest income, which increased by 20.59% to ₹3,059 crore, and improved recovery of assets. The bank’s operating profit stood at ₹2,400 crore, increased by ₹272 crore in Q2FY26 as against ₹2128 c
