ED raids TN minister Nehru's properties as DMK cries foul

OFFICIALS from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday conducted day-long searches at the residence of Tamil Nadu Minister for Municipal Administration and senior DMK leader K N Nehru in Thillai Nagar, Tiruchy, and at least 10 other properties linked to his brothers and son in Coimbatore and Chennai districts.
Sources said the searches were based on a case involving the realty firm TVH Builders owned by Nehru's brother K N Ravichandran, which has come under the ED's scanner. Searches were also conducted in the residences of Nehru's son and Perambalur MP K N Arun Nehru, the minister's brother K N Manivannan and his deceased brother K N Ramajeyam. DMK MP and senior advocate NR Elango told media in Chennai the searches were not related to any corruption case.
