THE Election Commission of India (ECI) barred BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from election campaign for 48 hours beginning from 8 pm on Wednesday for violating the model code of conduct (MCC) during a press conference on April 5 in Sircilla.
Reacting to the EC's decision, Rao at a roadshow in Mahabubabad said the EC did not send any notices to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who used derogatory language. "If the EC barred me from election campaign for 48 hours, BRS activists will work hard for 96 hours," Rao declared.
