Dalai Lama, Amjad Ali Khan enter Grammy race with album of hymns

THE 14th Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel laureate, has earned an unusual nomination at the Grammy Awards, as his spoken-word album The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama was shortlisted in the category "Best Audio Book Narration and Storytelling Recording" for the 68th annual chapter of the event.
It is scheduled to be held on February 1 next year in Los Angeles.
The 90-year old's reflections on compassion, peace, and inner well-being in the album have music compositions from sarod maestro Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash.
