CT may be moved out of Pak as PCB firm on 'no hybrid model'

AS Pakistan Cricket Board stuck to its no hybrid model stand during the ICC board meeting on Friday, chances of moving the tournament out of the country grew manifold.

With the PCB unmoved, the ICC is understood to have given them an ultimatum to accept the hybrid model or else the event will be shifted to a neutral venue. There is a chance that the tournament could even go ahead without Pakistan.

The ICC Board meeting, which was headed by Deputy Chair Imran Khwaja as Chair Greg Barclay, whose term ends on Saturday, did not attend the meeting on Friday.

"The meeting will continue tomorrow (Saturday) as well. The PCB's stand remains the same (no hybrid model)," a source keeping a track of the developments, told this daily.
