A slice of Kashmir in Baansera soon, houseboat to act convention centre

DELHIITES will soon be able to taste a slice of Kashmir in the city, with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) proposing to construct a houseboat at the Baansera Park on the Yamuna floodplains.
Visitors will be able to use the houseboat to host meetings and conferences, dining with friends and family, and for recreation.The DDA will soon float a tender to build a full convention centre on the houseboat. It has worked out a roadmap for the ambitious project. The work is expected to be completed within 180 days of the award of contract, with the date of completion likely to be pegged in May or June 2026.
