5 ministers, actor among 8 in AAP list for Punjab

The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday released a list of eight candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Punjab, fielding five sitting state cabinet ministers, a former Congress MLA and a Punjabi actor.

Among the prominent names announced is Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet hayer who will contest from the Sangrur seat, a constituency previously represented by the now Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. hayer lost four departments, including the key portfolio of mines and geology, in the cabinet reshuffle done in November last year. he is now left with the sports and youth services department.

NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal will contest from Amritsar, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib, Agriculture Minister Gur meet Singh Khudian from Bathinda and health Welfare Minister Balbir Singh from Patiala.
