13 from free coaching centre crack JEE Advanced

In an impressive feat, 13 students from government schools, coached free at the state-level 'Akanksha Programme' in Ranchi, have cleared the IIT-JEE Advanced this year.
They are now eligible for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The students come from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Two of them figured in the top 1,000 list of successful candidates. Rajeev Kumar, belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections, secured the 436th rank, while tribal student Vishal Hansda stood 784th.
Their success, despite a stringent question paper this year, is being attributed to the rigorous coaching they underwent in the Aakanksha Programme.
