MANY people in South Africa want to get rid of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE).

They say it has failed. They say it puts the wrong people in jobs. But the truth is, many of these people just don’t want change. They don't want a fair country where everyone has a chance.
Yes, there are problems with how B-BBEE works. Some people cheat the system. They use fronting, where a black person pretends to own a business but a white person really owns it. This is wrong and against the law. Ata meeting in Durban, Deputy President Paul Mashatile spoke about this. He said we must punish those who cheat. He is right. We need stronger rules and real consequences for fronting.
