On her latest record, the Welsh producer has transcended the dark fuzziness of her past records in favour of a kind of euphoric dance pop. Expect her to fill Troxy with a kind of otherworldly, glittering trance music. It is ethereal, trading in hypnotic single vocal lines repeated again and again in place of big, hooky choruses. Music that feels like floating in a sea, under sunshine.

Fair warning: tickets for this are almost sold out, so it might need to be a resale jobbie. But it'll be worth it. The Sudanese-American singer - perhaps better known as Cal from Sex Education - whose debut album I Should Call Them was immediately acclaimed on release last October, is something of an alchemist, melding together pop, R&B, rap, rock and even gospel. Witness her spin gold from it all tonight at the Jazz Cafe.
