Newcastle United issue statement after Keegan's cancer diagnosis
NEWCASTLE United legend Kevin Keegan has been diagnosed with cancer, it was revealed last night.
Love poured in for the 74-year-old ex-boss and superstar forward following the news of his diagnosis.
Ahead of the Magpies' game against Leeds United at St James' Park last night, the club issued a statement sending their love to Keegan and his family.
A United statement read: "Our former player and manager, Kevin Keegan will undergo treatment after being diagnosed with cancer having been admitted to hospital for further evaluation of ongoing abdominal symptoms.
"King Kev. We're with you every step of the way. Hoping for a full and speedy recovery."
