WILLIAM Osula wants and needs - game time at Newcastle United next season, and Eddie Howe faces an intriguing task ensuring the up-and-coming attacker continues on his upward trajectory on Tyneside.

Osula had to settle for a bit-part role in the Magpies' senior side last term, despite flourishing whenever handed minutes in Howe's first team.

Deployed predominantly on the right, the former Sheffield United forward was essentially Jacob Murphy’s immediate backup once Miguel Almiron left the club.

However, just 124 minutes of Premier League football the amount he received last term won't be enough for the player if repeated next season.

"I just need playing time to show what I can do,’ Osula admitted last month during a fine spell for Denmark’s Under-21s.
