As England and Wales gear up for their opening games at UEFA Women's Euro 2025, LYNN RUSK has everything you need to know about the tournament

VICTORY IN EUROPE?

England and Wales play their opening group games today, with the Dragons taking on the Netherlands at 5pm and the Lionesses up against France at 8pm.

On Wednesday, England face the Netherlands at 5pm, while Wales will play France at 8pm.

England and Wales will then play each other at 8pm on Sunday, July 13 in their final group game.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarterfinals. The winners of those games will then advance to the semifinals, with the tournament culminating in the championship final at St. Jakob-Park in Basel on July 27.

What are the groups?

The 16 teams are divided into four groups of four. Each team will play three round-robin matches within its group, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.

■GROUP A: Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Finland.

GROUP B: Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy.

■GROUP C: Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden.

GROUP D: France, England, Wales, Netherlands.

Who are the BBC pundits?

The BBC's live coverage will be led by seasoned presenters Gabby Logan, Alex Scott and Jeanette Kwakye.
