United 'go to FIFA to cover Wissa loss'

NEWCASTLE United have reportedly approached FIFA following Yoane Wissa's injury setback.

The 29-year-old is yet to make his debut for Newcastle after sustaining a knee injury on international duty with DR Congo.

Following a further assessment earlier this month, Wissa (right) is now not expected to return in time for his previously projected comeback, which Eddie Howe had indicated would be for the game at Brighton this weekend.

The match at West Ham on November 2 could be a potential date for his return.

"Yoane saw a specialist again for a checkup on his knee," Howe said at the start of October.
