Term of Endearment can return to top form

TERM Of Endearment can return to winning form back in Listed company in the British Stallion Studs EBF Beckford Stakes at Bath.

The six-year-old made Group Three breakthrough in 2023 for Henry de Bromhead and then showed further improvement last term when repeating a win at that level before adding a Group Two triumph in the Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood.

She was subsequently sold for 1.3million guineas at the end of last year but rather than head straight to the paddocks, the Sea The Moon mare was sent to William Haggas in Newmarket.

He has not had quite so much luck with her, with four runs yet to yield a success, although she did come within a head of repeating her Bronte Cup win at York.

A steady gallop was her undoing in the defence of her Goodwood title, so you would expect Tom Marquand to be alive to that threat this time, with Term Of Endearment not concerned by any drying of the ground.
