Quansah on Magpies' watch list

JARELL Quansah is a centre-half who remains on Newcastle United's radar as they look to add to their squad this summer.

The Liverpool defender looks set for a move from Anfield after failing to establish himself under Arne Slot as the Reds powered to the Premier League title.

Quansah started the first game of the 2024-25 season under Slot at Ipswich Town but was replaced by Ibrahima Konate at half time.

Although he made 25 appearances in all competitions, only five of those were starts in the Premier League. The academy product started the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle, playing at right-back in place of the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold and Conor Bradley, but is a centre-back by trade.
