NORTH East festival fans won't have to walk 500 miles to see one of Scotland's best-known duos next year, with The Proclaimers set to take to the stage against the backdrop of Holy Island at the 2026 Lindisfarne Festival.

The enduring favourites - best known for eighties hits such as Letter from America, I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) and Let's Get Married — take the Thursday night legends slot, which was filled this year by the Waterboys. Other acts announced for 2026 include Ferocious Dog, Slipknowt, and Decrepit Youths.
