PM meets with region’s business community

MEMBERS of the region's business community have met with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer at an event hosted by the North East Chamber of Commerce.
The visit - which came before the Gorton and Denton by-election in Greater Manchester - saw the Prime Minister meeting business leaders at the Chamber's Newcastle offices.
The event brought together around 30 businesses representing a broad range of sectors and sizes, from advanced manufacturing and energy to professional services, culture, health, digital education and the third sector.
