Mum's plan for festival trip ends on sour note

A MUM has spoken of her frustration after several months of silence following last summer's postponed Little Lindi Festival.
Billed as a “magical family festival from the creators of Lindisfarne Festival”, Little Lindi was due to be held on the Lambton Estate in County Durham over the weekend of July 26-28, 2024.
However, organisers Wannasee Ltd announced on Facebook on July 17 that the 2024 festival would be postponed as consistently bad rain and weather made parts of the site unusable and unsafe.
Festival-goers were given the choice of a refund or to roll over their ticket for Little Lindi this year, with many choosing to keep their tickets.
However, last Friday, a post on the Little Lindi Facebook page announced that “logistically, Little Lindi is unable to run this year”.
The Facebook post was the first on the page since September last year. Several ticketholders complained that organisers had not responded to numerous attempts to contact them through email and social media, while a number of refund deadlines were missed.
Seeing on social media that a number of people were left in limbo, Sarah Charlton, a music teacher from Hartlepool, started a Facebook group calling for Wannasee Ltd to refund ticketholders.
The 41-year-old had spent £140 on tickets and a further £400 on glamping for Little Lindi in 2024.
