Line closed as work on crossings is carried out

A four-day Metro line closure has begun between Newcastle Airport and Regent Centre.
-
"Major renewal works" will be carried out at the level crossings at both Bank Foot and Callerton Parkway stations during the closure, which will last until Monday.
While the level crossing works are ongoing, Metro staff will also be carrying out bridge repairs, the renewal of signalling cables, graffiti removal and line re-painting.
