SEAN LONGSTAFF ON HIS MOVE AWAY FROM ST JAMES'

FORMER Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff revealed that he was so overcome with emotion at leaving the Magpies that he broke down in tears at the mere sight of a club coach.
Longstaff completed a permanent move to Leeds United in the summer, ending his 19-year association with his boyhood club, where he won the Carabao Cup last season. He could now be set to return to St James' Park tonight when Newcastle host Leeds in the Premier League.
The move was a tough transfer for all involved. Eddie Howe even admitted he did not wish to part with Longstaff, but couldn’t resist the PSR boost. Ultimately, Longstaff joined Leeds for £15 million.
