Fall in love with gelato ‘roses’ as Amorino launches in city

THE newest foodie firm to launch in Newcastle city centre has been revealed in a North East first that’s set to go down a treat this summer.

Upmarket gelato company Amorino is set to launch its first shop in the region, where it will serve up the renowned rose-shaped ice creams which have made it a frozen favourite around the world.

Billboards have now gone up outside the empty shop on Grainger Street next to Cote Brasserie, heralding the imminent arrival of the upmarket ice cream store.

The company is also recruiting for the shop, with calls for potential employees to send in their CVs through its website.

Amorino - which says it sells around 25 cones every minute around the globe - now has 291 stores worldwide, as well as shops in many holiday destinations in the likes of Spain, Malta, France and Dubai. At the moment, the nearest store is in York.
