Duo launch new shop fusing food and fashion

TWO young Newcastle entrepreneurs have joined forces to launch a new venture combining food and fashion.

Scott Whitehead launched online fashion firm The Hideaway Store in October 2023, specialising in luxury pre-loved labels, rare collaborations, and artworks he buys from the UK and across the world. After returning from a holiday in Japan, he was keen to bring a business concept he saw overseas back to Newcastle.

The result is aceiety, a shop combining two ventures under one roof, in which he and business partner Will Grigg have created a healthy food cafe, while Scott has launched his first bricks-and-mortar outlet for his pre-loved clothing.

The pair have ploughed £70,000 of their own cash into the business, which is now open on Acorn Road in Jesmond.
