Councillor calling for legal action over casino

A TORY councillor has called on the North Tyneside mayor to consider legal action against a decision to allow a 24-hour slots casino in Preston Grange, North Shields.

The council had initially rejected planning permission for the scheme earlier this year but, following an appeal, it was approved by an outside body.
The planning inspectorate's decision to allow an initially refused application for an Admiral Casino casino venue in empty units on the site of the Collingwood Centre continues to stir up controversy.
