Charity supporter wins new car in Christmas raffle

A RETIRED Northumberland dentist has won a new car for Christmas in a charity raffle.

Alan French has been entering the annual St Oswald's Hospice raffle for 10 years, but has always gone empty-handed - until now.
Alan, from Alnwick, has won a new Hyundai i10 after winning the charity’s annual Big Car Raffle and helping to raise £28,000.
He was revealed as this year’s winner after his ticket was drawn from nearly 30,000 entries, with the draw run in partnership with Gateshead-based Vertu.
