Richmond eliminated defending champions St. Joseph's as Thenura Dias delivered decisive initial blows to set the stage for a remarkable quarter final victory in the Under 19 Division I Tier 'A' tournament at Darley Road on Tuesday.
Dias took the first three wickets including that of the danger man Aveesha Samash to make things easy for the rest of the bowlers.
Chasing a target of 180 runs to win, the Joes were three wickets down for 60 runs after Dias shocked the top order batsmen.
