The Supreme Court yesterday (30) dismissed a Fundamental Rights petition filed by former Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne seeking the invalidation of the election of former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena to Parliament from the Kalutara District in the 2024 general election.

Dr. Senaratne and Abeygunawardena contested on the SJB and NDF (New Democratic Front) tickets, respectively.
