'We hope it keeps Hebden Bridge on the map'

FANS believe Sally Wainwright’s latest show ‘Riot Women’ will “keep Hebden Bridge on the map” - after the writer admitted she filmed at the location more than in ‘Happy Valley!

Hundreds flocked to the beauty spot for the much-awaited premiere of Huddersfield writer Sally's latest drama, ‘Riot Women,’ at Hebden Bridge Picture House on Tuesday,

Alongside BAFTA-winning BBC drama ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘Last Tango in Halifax,’ ‘Riot Women’ is the third show of Wainwright's to feature the West Yorkshire Town.

Speaking candidly to The Examiner in an exclusive interview, Sally explained her choice of Hebden Bridge as a filming location for a third time.

She said: “It's really picturesque every corner you turn, there is something to look at. I think that, in terms of TV, it is really important for people to be able to turn on their TV and know where they are.
